Hilltops

Our Hilltops bring vibrant, physical fun to the café lawn this season! With five non-slip stepping “hills” in varying heights, this engaging play set encourages children (and grown-ups) to hop, leap and balance from one to another. Perfect for boosting motor skills, confidence and imaginative play in a safe, colourful format.

How to Use Hilltops – Set-Up & Play Ideas

Set-Up

  • Lay out all five coloured hilltops on the grass in a simple course or playful pattern.
  • They come in three heights (≈ 85 mm, 170 mm, 255 mm) and measure roughly 360–420 mm square. Each has a rubber rim to prevent slipping and protect surfaces.

Skills Development

  • Hilltops help children develop gross motor skills, balance, distance estimation and familiarity with different heights.
  • The stones are stable by design—they don’t overturn—even when used dynamically.

Play Ideas

  • Balance Trail: Jump or step across without touching the grass.
  • Colour Sequence: Follow a colour order (e.g. red → blue → yellow), advancing one at a time.
  • Timed Runs: Race across as quickly as possible, maybe in relay teams.
  • Musical Hilltops: Like musical chairs—when the music stops, find a hilltop to stand on!

Safety & Flexibility

  • Suitable for ages 2 to 15 years, with a maximum load of around 100 kg (220 lb).
  • Great for both solo and group play, challenge levels are easily adjusted by altering spacing or height order.
