How to Play Mölkky – Step-by-Step
Set-Up
- Arrange the 12 numbered pins upright in a tight formation on the lawn.
- Each pin is marked from 1 to 12.
Players
- Suitable for 2 or more players, either individually or in teams.
Gameplay
- Players take turns throwing the wooden Mölkky pin at the numbered pins, standing behind a throwing line.
- When a player knocks down exactly one pin, they score the number on that pin.
- If multiple pins fall, the player scores the number of pins knocked down.
- Pins are then stood back up exactly where they fell.
- The first player to reach exactly 50 points wins.
- If a player’s score goes over 50, it is reduced to 25 points.
