As the Easter holidays draw to a close, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, and made this break one to remember.
Symonds Yat Rock Cafe
At Symonds Yat Rock Cafe, we had an absolutely fantastic time hosting our Easter Trail, and you clearly did too! We had over 300 participants taking part, hunting for clues around the site and solving riddles to discover hidden treasures. It was brilliant to see so many families, friends, and visitors of all ages getting stuck in and exploring the beautiful surroundings in such an interactive way!
Alongside the trail, we trialled something new this year: Messy Play sessions with Nurture in Nature on site — and what a success they turned out to be! Over 40 little adventurers came along across two Thursdays, getting down and dirty learning about frogs and their lifecycles, crafting their own bird nests, and discovering what birds might live in them, along with all sorts of sensory springtime activities. Watching young imaginations run wild was just wonderful, and it’s clear there’s a real appetite for this kind of hands-on fun at Symonds Yat. Thanks to the brilliant feedback and turnout, we’re excited to say we’ll be working on making Messy Play with Nurture in Nature a regular feature during future school holidays, along with a few more creative surprises in the pipeline!
Hereford City Centre
Meanwhile, in Hereford city centre, the Easter spirit was alive and well, even if the sunshine didn’t quite manage to keep up! We loved seeing so many families taking part in the Hereford City Life Easter Trail over the break. The big highlight came on Saturday, 19th April, when a fantastic event filled the city with even more excitement, including a petting zoo, storybook readings, and family-friendly activities dotted throughout the city centre. It’s moments like these that really show how vibrant and welcoming Hereford can be, and we’re so proud to be part of it!
Overall, this Easter has been one to remember. It’s been all about coming together, trying new things, making memories, and celebrating the simple joys of the spring season, whatever the weather had to say about it!
We’re so grateful to all our lovely customers, old and new, for visiting us, supporting local, and bringing so much energy and positivity to our spaces this Easter. Whether you joined us at Symonds Yat Rock Cafe for an outdoor adventure (and maybe a hot chocolate or gelato afterwards!) or dropped by in town to refuel during your city centre Easter hunt, it’s been a real pleasure to see so many smiling faces.
Now, we’re looking ahead to brighter days and longer evenings, summer’s just around the corner, and we are so ready for a bit of sunshine, a lot of iced coffees, and even more opportunities to get together and celebrate everything our sites and communities have to offer.
