Operations & Maintenance Support Assistant

At the Coffee Cart Company, our passion extends beyond our coffee; we pride ourselves in a smooth seamless service and a professional environment. Central to achieving this is our Operations & Maintenance Support Assistant who plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of our coffee shops and their high standard of maintenance.

This is a multifaceted position which entails:

  • Provide operational & maintenance support to ensure the smooth running of two Coffee outlets in Hereford daily.
  • Ensure the safe transportation, handling, and security of company equipment and stock.
  • Responding promptly to repair requests and issues with equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and service at the Coffee Cart Company.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and handle small repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support with general tasks as needed, including administrative duties, running errands, responding to customer inquiries, and, overall, contributing as an active member of the team.

Overview:

This role is perfect for someone with a hands-on approach and a practical mindset, who thrives on variety and is comfortable working both outdoors and in a warehouse, depending on the task at hand.

You’ll need to be self-motivated, and responsible, with excellent timekeeping skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. Given the nature of the role, lifting stock, furniture, and equipment is essential, so a good level of fitness and comfort with manual handling are musts.

Additionally, presenting yourself in a professional and well-groomed manner is expected, reflecting our commitment to excellence and professionalism in all aspects of our work. This role also requires flexibility and a willingness to do whatever is necessary to support the team.

We will require you to work 16 hrs per week – 2 weekends per month (8 hrs Saturday, 8 hrs Sunday) and the remaining two weeks per month to work on 2 weekdays. There may be more hours available during the week in the future for the right candidate.

It is hoped that the right candidate will come with a desire to progress by demonstrating competency and accountability in this self-disciplined role. There is also an opportunity to extend this role and offer further hours during the week for the right candidate.

Must be IT literate, have a clean driving licence and be able to drive a 3.5-tonne van.

Pay: £12.50-£13.70 per hour
