Operations Assistant

You will play a key background role in providing the operational support required for the smooth running of our coffee outlets. The role is ideally suited to an individual with a hands on approach, someone who is practically minded and comfortable working both outdoors and in a warehouse depending on the task in hand.

The role requires a mature mindset and would suit someone looking to move from shift based type work to a management based position and the responsibilities that brings.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing the operational support to the smooth running of our two Coffee outlets in Hereford on a daily basis
  • The safe transportation, handling and security of company equipment and stock
  • Maintaining the high standards of presentation and service of the Coffee Cart Company
  • Maintaining equipment and handling small repairs and maintenance
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures

Main duties:

Hereford Logistical Support:

  • Picking and delivering of company stock and equipment to our outlets in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assisting the Management Team with the daily operational requirements at our depot and coffee bar outlets.
  • Loading/unloading stock, furniture and equipment on/off company vehicles and bars

Warehouse Support:

  • Receiving and booking in deliveries
  • Maintaining an efficient and clean workplace

Events Logistical Support:

  • Setting up and dismantling coffee bar equipment in adherence to Company operational systems and procedures
  • All operational activity generated during the trading days at an event to include but not exclusive of:

picking and loading event support vehicles prior to an event

preparation of trailers and support vehicles for forthcoming events

transportation of staff, stock and equipment to and from an event

post event breakdown and transportation from an event

Personal requirements:

  • Full, clean driving licence with 3.5 tonne van experience
  • Forklift Truck licence preferable
  • Relish working outdoors
  • Be a committed, enthusiastic team player
  • Be able to work in a methodical and organised way, following rules and procedures
  • Practical and capable handyman skills
  • Comfortable with Manual Handling
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment, but with care and attention to detail
  • Practical “hands on” approach, promoting a “can do” attitude
  • Well presented

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
