Role Overview:
The Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations within our stores. Their responsibilities include:
- The Key holder: Opening and closing the store, ensuring all procedures are followed for security and operational readiness.
- Conducting morning coffee checks: Verifying quality and consistency, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Possessing strong coffee knowledge: To guide staff and assist customers with product selection and inquiries.
- Collaborating closely with head baristas: To mentor and support their development, fostering a strong team dynamic.
- Customer Care: Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, including hygiene and safety standards.
- Ongoing commitment to training: Assisting with training and development initiatives to improve staff skills and performance.
- Collaborating with the management team: To address operational challenges and implement solutions.
- Performing cash handling duties: Including opening and closing tills and reconciling cash registers.
- Taking on leadership roles: During peak periods or in the absence of higher management to maintain smooth operations and uphold service standards.
- Acting Responsibly: Responding promptly to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during the shift.
- Maintaining Clean workstations: Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to uphold brand standards and hygiene regulations.
Overall, the shift leader plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive work culture, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Experience Required for the role:
- Coffee Shop experience: 2 years (required)
- customer service: 3 years (preferred)

Pay: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
