Central to achieving this is our Operations Manager, who plays a pivotal role in ensuring our coffee shops are well-stocked and maintained to impeccable standards.

This is a multifaceted position which entails:

· Overseeing both stock management and logistics support for our bustling coffee shops and events.

· A hands-on approach, practical problem-solving initiatives, requiring proficiency in DIY tasks and maintenance.

· Exceptional organisational skills – someone who can deliver through efficient processes.

· Adaptability to various environments (both outdoors and within warehouse settings) and possesses a proactive mindset.

We are in search of a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock and Operations Manager to join our team and spearhead the smooth functioning of our coffee shop chain. This pivotal role involves managing inventory, streamlining supply chain to our coffee shops, and refining operational procedures to enhance overall efficiency. Confidence with technology will be key to take management of our new Stock Management System.

The successful candidate will exhibit strong analytical capabilities, a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and effective leadership qualities. Supervising a small team including a maintenance assistant, operations assistant and temporary events staff will also be part of the responsibilities, delegation and people management skills will be essential.

Applicants must also demonstrate competent driving skills, as they will be responsible for assisting with deliveries to our coffee shops. Additionally, the role entails engaging in practical problem-solving initiatives, requiring proficiency in DIY tasks and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Stock Management:

· Implement the New Stock Management System to monitor levels of food and drink products to ensure a consistent supply of stock.

· Place purchase orders with suppliers as and when required.

· Develop and implement stock control procedures to ensure stock is correctly rotated and minimise wastage.

· Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

· Monitor and negotiate stock prices and research alternative suppliers as and when required.

Supply Chain Management:

· Receive and inspect deliveries as they arrive.

· Establish strong relationships with suppliers.

· Coordinate with suppliers to ensure stock and resolve any delivery issues.

· Continuously evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Optimise supply chain logistics to minimise costs and streamline operations.

Maintenance Management:

· Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities for equipment and facilities.

· Coordinate and oversee reactive maintenance tasks, responding promptly to repair needs.

· Manage maintenance resources effectively, including staff and external suppliers.

· Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure efficient operations.

· Organise and maintain equipment for events.

Logistic Support:

· Selecting and delivering stock and equipment to our coffee shops and to events in accordance with company procedures

· Supporting and managing the loading/unloading of stock, furniture and equipment on/off company vehicles

· Setting up and dismantling coffee bar equipment

· Transporting staff to and from events.

Operational Efficiency:

· Work closely with the Duty Managers and Area Managers to understand their requirements and ensure stock is delivered to their schedule.

· Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflows and ensure consistency across all stores.

· Monitor store performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to meet targets.

Quality Control:

· Implement quality control measures to uphold product standards and customer satisfaction.

· Conduct regular inspections of store facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.

· Address any quality or safety issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership:

· Lead and motivate the operation assistance and maintenance assistance to ensure smooth operations across the organisation.

· Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment.

· Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain logistics, or operations management, preferably in the retail or food service industry.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.

· Computer literate across Microsoft Office Suite

· Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Leadership qualities with a focus on team building and employee development.

· Proficiency in DIY and general maintenance skills.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Essential requirements:

· Full clean driving licences with 3.5 tonne van experience

· Forklift licence (Desirable)

· Comfortable with manual handling

· Weekend availability

Pay: £30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
